Update an Offer

PATCH

/partner/offers/:id

Updates an Offer. Send only the fields you want to change; omitted fields are left as-is and fields explicitly set to null are cleared.

Draft vs. published offers

While an offer is a draft, it can be updated any number of times and offer_type may be changed. After the offer is published, offer_type can no longer be changed, and expiration_date can only be extended, never moved earlier.

Offer budgets on published offers

Once an offer is published, an offer_budget cannot be added or removed. The budget limit can be increased or decreased, but not below the budget's current estimated allocation.

Update limit for published offers

A published offer can be updated once per 24-hour period. Requests made inside that window are rejected, so plan and validate changes before you submit them. If you require further assistance, contact support.

Best practices for updating live offers

  • Batch your changes. Combine all pending changes to an offer into a single request instead of sending them one at a time. Every update to a live offer can be seen by cardholders, and frequent changes to terms, rewards, or eligibility cause confusion and a negative cardholder experience.
  • Finalize offers while they are drafts. Do iterative edits before publishing, when the update limit does not apply.
